How Does a Person Get Started in Real Estate?

What's it take to get a Real Estate License?

The process to get a real estate license is fairly simple. In Virginia, the law requires that you complete a 60-hour Principles of Real Estate course.  The course may be taken in class or as a home study format. But, it must be approved by the Virginia Real Estate Board and it must be offered by a state certified school.

When you've successfully completed the Principles of Real Estate course, you are eligible to take the state licensing exam.  PSI is the company that administers the state exam, and they have test centers at many locations in Virginia.  A passing score is 75%.

After passing the exam, you submit your application to the Real Estate Board and your license is issued to your employing Broker.  The process of getting a real estate license is simple, but it does require study.  The Real Estate Academy is committed to providing you with superior teaching and coaching, and helpful learning tools.  With each of us doing our part, you will acquire your Real Estate License!
